How to stay on top – the management perspective on RM´s contribution to success

KU Leuven has a longstanding history of success in the European framework programmes, having won more grants than any other university by mid Horizon Europe. This didn´t happen accidentally but is based on strategic management decisions i.a. on where and how to invest in internal support structures, incentives and turning learnings into action.

A key note from a KU Leuven representative will be followed by a discussion on how management decisions can shape research management in order to develop it into a success factor for funding acquisition

  • Wannes Ribbens, Policy Advisor, KU Leuven
  • Elisabeth Denk, Austrian Universities Research Administrators & Managers (AURAM)
Room B (tbc) Science4Policy - Current S4P mechanisms in Austria & Europe

Many Science4Policy instruments and structures have been established – some exist for a long time, others have been created just recently. This workshop brings together experiences with these different mechanisms, thereby allowing also to identify crucial challenges and formulate some learnings for future ambitions.

  • Christoph Konrath, Austrian Parliament
  • Alexander Bogner, Austrian Academy of Sciences
  • EU Commission, EU S4P Team (Speaker tbc)
